The F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA is a state-renowned child care and development center that offers curriculum based, comprehensive childcare and early childhood educational programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.

Kirby provides a developmentally rich environment supported by a specially trained and caring staff who help children develop strong skills and physical, social and emotional confidence.

Kirby uses a recognized, developmentally appropriate curriculum for all ages delivered by caring, experienced teachers. Our average lead teacher tenure exceeds 10 years, and our child/teacher ratios typically exceed New Jersey state requirements. An on-site Registered Nurse is also part of our staff.

As the site of a former elementary school, the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center is specifically designed for children. It is situated on almost three acres of property and boasts a full-size gym, a full kitchen that serves snacks and hot meals developed by a staff nutritionist and five state-of-the-art playgrounds to serve all age groups.

The F.M. Kirby Children’s Center offers Summer Day Camp for children ages 3 to entering Kindergarten and Kindergarten to entering third grade.
