Our doors may be closed for now, but our hearts are open - we understand that this is a very difficult and uncertain time for you and for us.
As always, your YMCA membership is so much more than coming to our facilities for a workout or program.
The YMCA is not only a place, it is a movement of people - it's all of us- from Cathy and Jeremy at the Welcome Center, Mr. Gus in Gymnastics and Coach Aaron in Sports and Miss Courtney at The School of Performing Arts and our hundreds of caring, committed instructors, coaches, teachers and support staff.
We are all united in our efforts to strengthen our community and support each other. As a non-profit committed to helping people, our Y and YMCAs around the world have a history of stepping up when our communities need us.
We intend to meet the challenges that we are being presented right now.
This closure in our operations is having an unprecedented impact on our staff and our community. During this time, we are asking you, our members, to stay with us... not just as “facility members” but as members of a committed group of people that works to support each other and keep our community strong.
Your membership and program dues are a critical investment in meeting the needs of our community. And we hope you can continue them.
As we work on new and different ways that our Y can continue to serve you during this challenging time, we ask that you consider retaining your membership to support our mission and our important work supporting people – our neighbors and friends in our community.
We realize that not all of you will be able to do this. But if you’re inclined to do so, we will partner with you to find the best solution for you and your family. But if you can, we hope you will consider staying with us to protect our community during this time of uncertainty.
Our focus is unwavering, even in these unsteady times. We will most certainly emerge from this crisis a stronger and better community because we faced these challenges together. We wish you and your families good health, security and -- if possible -- peace during this unsettled time.
Thank you for your caring and being part of our YMCA community.
Stay well and take care,
President & CEO
