We are often reminded to exercise our bodies but neglect exercising our minds. As we age, we tend to become less active physically and mentally. It is important to encourage seniors to engage in activities that challenge their minds because engaging the brain often results in physical and emotional rejuvenation. It is common for seniors to struggle with depression and feelings of loneliness as a result of a stagnant routine. By regularly participating in the right activities, seniors can increase memory function, reduce boredom and boost creativity.
