Leader in Training (LIT)

Through leadership-oriented teambuilding, meaningful community service projects and staff-led mentoring, our new Leader in Training program will leave teens feeling fulfilled and confident by the end of this summer. Splitting their time between volunteering in the community and assisting on site with KidsQuest campers and counselors, teens enjoy experiences designed to teach more about important life skills including communication, decision making and conflict resolution. With guidance from counselors and coordinators, LITs learn responsibility and gain independence this summer. They receive weekly leadership/staff training and valuable feedback and evaluations. All LITs who participate in a session this summer receive a certificate of completion. LITs are provided with lunch from the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center daily and are invited to accompany KidsQuest campers on their field trips on Fridays.* These leaders are the role models that campers look up to all summer long. For more information, please see the Camp Brochure 2017.

*There is no alternative or proration available for LITs who choose not to participate in a field trip.

The LIT Program is for campers entering grades 9-11.
Monday - Friday; Lunch & Snack Included. 4 Two-Week Sessions.
