Leader in Training (LIT)

Through leadership-oriented team building, meaningful community service projects and staff-led mentoring, our Leader in Training program leave teens feeling fulfilled and confident by the end of the summer. Spending some of their session volunteering in the community and assisting on site with KidsQuest campers and counselors, teens enjoy experiences that teach important life skills including communication, decision making and conflict resolution. With guidance from counselors and coordinators, LITs learn responsibility and gain independence this summer. They receive weekly leadership/staff training and valuable feedback and evaluations. All LITs who participate in a session this summer receive a certificate of completion. LITs are provided with the option of a daily lunch for a fee, and are invited to accompany KidsQuest campers on their field trips on Fridays*. These leaders are the role models that campers look up to all summer long.

*There is no alternative or proration available for LITs who choose not to participate in a field trip.
