Kindergarten Wrap Around
Kirby’s KWrap, or Kindergarten Wrap-around Program, best complements the half-day kindergarten in local districts by providing safe, enriching and developmentally beneficial afternoon wraparound care.
The KWrap program blends fun, necessary downtime and learning-based activities that include a variety of enrichment programs, lots of supervised indoor and outdoor playtime and arts and crafts– all of which reinforce the academic and social skills that are necessary for a successful transition to first grade and promote making healthy choices.
For morning kindergartners, families can choose care until either 3:30 p.m. or until 6:00 p.m. two to five days a week with availability of extended care until 6:45 p.m.
The center provides transportation to and from schools in Madison, Chatham and Florham Park. Tuition includes a nutritious lunch and a healthy afternoon snack.
Children enrolled in full-day kindergarten at St. Vincent Martyr, St. Patrick School, Holy Family or Florham Park public schools will be transported from school to the KWrap Program for after-school activities and a nutritious snack.
Kirby KWrap is unique in supporting families’ needs when schools are closed. Tuition includes full day care during school vacations, holidays and most closings on days that the student is enrolled. For other days, there is a drop-in fee to attend.
Transportation is also provided to and from the Family Center for KWrap students who are enrolled in Family Center swimming, gymnastics, dance or sports classes.
