School of Performing Arts
at the Madison Area YMCA

The School of Performing Arts at the Madison Area YMCA programs are open and welcoming to all and encourage, nurture and provide a vehicle for creative process and an outlet for artistic product.

  • Dance invigorates the body, mind and spirit of all involved, participant and observer alike. When people dance, they feel healthier, hold their heads higher, and walk with poise and have self-confidence. The Arts leave an indelible mark on youth, inspiring self-expression, self-esteem, and critical and creative thinking.
  • The Madison Area YMCA’s Performing Arts programming serves as a platform to showcase the breadth and commitment of arts programming in youth development.
  • The School of Performing Arts features 120 programs and 600 participants annually in the Mid-Year Showcase & Year-End Performance at a state-of-the-art theater for all levels of Performing Arts participants in January and June.
