(Madison, NJ) April 3, 2015- Happiness and resiliency can be increased with simple steps. An “Increasing Optimism” workshop will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 7:00p.m.-8:30p.m. at the Madison Area YMCA’s Family Center located at 111 Kings Road in Madison. The workshop will explore studies showing that increased levels of optimism promote a happier, healthier and more productive life.

Cara Maksimow, LCSW, CPC will present the five key elements of Positive Psychology and how to incorporate these action steps into everyday life. Positive psychology theories and cognitive behavior will demonstrate how a mind’s receptiveness to positive events can increase optimism.
