Stop &Shop and the Madison Area YMCA Making a Difference in the Community

(Madison, NJ) November 25, 2015 – “From someone who wishes you lots of blessings!!” was written on a box of holiday dinner trimmings that a Madison Area YMCA member received this holiday season through the Stop & Shop “Food for Friends” program.

Almost 60 families who are members of the Madison Area YMCA, F.M. Kirby Children’s Center and Project Community Pride of the Madison Area YMCA received a box of the holiday dinner trimmings. For $10, shoppers purchased a box and donated it to the program so that everyone in our community could enjoy a bountiful meal. Each box contained Stop& Shop brand turkey gravy and stuffing mixes, yams, corn, jellied cranberry sauce, green beans, crispy fried onions, cream of mushroom soup and tuna.

Additionally, Stop & Shop offers shoppers the opportunity to make charitable donations at checkout. The Madison Area YMCA will receive 60% of the proceeds.
