(Madison, NJ) May 5, 2016 – The Madison Area YMCA will hold its 19th Annual Charity Golf Classic and “Camp for One, Camp for All” dinner reception on Monday, June 6, 2016, at the Fairmount Country Club located at 400 Southern Blvd. in Chatham. CitiGroup Global Markets is the Charity Golf Classic’s presenting sponsor.

The community is invited to support the Charity Golf Classic that helps make summer camp for all a reality by becoming a sponsor, donating an auction item or booking “Camp for One, Camp for All” dinner reservations. Individual players, foursomes and groups are welcome. Golfing and non-golfing sponsorships are available and may be combined.

Last year’s Charity Golf Classic helped fund 320 weeks of Y summer camp. Proceeds from this year’s event will make Y summer camp, membership and enriching Y programs available for children and families who otherwise could not fully afford to participate. The event further ensures that children in need can attend YMCA day camps for structured, supervised learning, recreation and summer fun!

For $495 per individual, the day includes golfing, lunch, beverages and the dinner reception. Golfers are invited for swing tips at 10:30 a.m. Registration and lunch begins at 11:00 a.m. Shot gun start at 12:30 p.m.

Not a golfer but would like to support the event? Gather some friends for a table at the “Camp for One, Camp for All” dinner reception, which includes cocktails, buffet dinner, live and silent auctions, 50/50 (books of 5 tickets are $20), prizes, raffles and the award ceremony. Dinner reservations are available for $100 per person; tables of ten for $900. The evening event starts at 5 p.m.

Opportunities for those who are unable to attend the golf outing or reception but would like to make a donation may sponsor $300 “camper”ships, which cover the cost of one camp week for a child who otherwise would not be able to participate.

To sign up for tournament spots, book dinner reservations, volunteer, donate a “camper”ship or become a sponsor, please contact Golf Event Manager Melissa DeSalvo at mdesalvo@madisonymca.org or call 973-822-9622 ext. 2248. The Madison Area YMCA is a cause-driven charitable organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Generous donations make it possible for everyone in the community to be enriched by the Y, regardless of ability to pay, to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body at any age.
