The Madison Area YMCA's 15th Annual Bocce Invitational Champions: Chewbocce
Tournament Raised More Than $30,000 for Health and Wellness Programs

Bocce Winner Chewbocce

(Madison, NJ) October 28, 2016– Congratulations to the Madison Area YMCA’s 15th Annual Charity Bocce Invitational Tournament champions, Chewbocce.

 This was the first time that Chewbocce participated in the Y's tournament. Team members included: Ron Paxson, Cedar Grove; Captain Lou Cammarata, Cedar Grove; Keith Balassone, Cedar Grove; and Jorge Rivera, Cedar Grove

Hosted by the Forum Club and the Toto family, the Bocce Invitational raised more than $30,000 for health and wellness programs such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA for cancer survivors, the Diabetes Prevention Program, the Community Mental Health Initiative, Enhance Fitness, One Step, Delay the Disease, and the Project Community Pride youth and family counseling service.

The Forum Club Boys took second place. Team members included: Tony Bassolino, Madison; Captain Frank Iossa, Florham Park; Peter Iossa, Florham Park; and Ralph Bassolino, Florham Park.

Investors Bank was the presenting sponsor for the fourth year. Tournament sponsors were Rocco’s Tuscany Bar and Grill and Villa Rose Wine School, who both provided a wonderful celebration for participants and spectators. Additional sponsors that helped ensure the success of the Bocce Invitational were Atlantic Health System, Life Fitness and Dr. John Dalena of Summit Medical Group.

The Madison Area YMCA is a 501c3 cause-driven charitable organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. All are welcome to be enriched by Y membership, programming, community wellness and health-enhancing programs, regardless of ability to pay. Generous donations to the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund make it possible for everyone in our community to experience the Y.
