The Madison Area YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day® 2017 A Great Time for All!
(Madison, NJ) May 5, 2017 –The Madison Area YMCA celebrated YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, the Y’s national initiative to improve families’ health and well-being, on Saturday, April 29.
Children and their families spent quality family time enjoying the outdoors and participating in lots of fun events. Activities included a bounce house, arts and crafts, raffles, giveaways, face painting, a DJ, field games for all ages and healthy snacks. More than 20 local organizations and businesses participated in the event.
The YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day, celebrated by more than 1,500 Y’s across the country, gets kids moving and learning, so they can keep up the habit all summer long – a critical out-of-school time for kids’ health. Helping bring families and kids together to have fun, be active, learn more and create lasting, healthy habits for the entire family, Healthy Kids Day is just one more way the Y works to strengthen community.
As a cause-driven charitable organization, the Madison Area YMCA is dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, and improving the community’s health and well-being and giving back by providing support to our neighbors.
