(Madison, NJ) December 8, 2017– The Madison Area YMCA honored its 1873 Society members for 2017 at its annual holiday celebration at The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown on Sunday, Dec. 3. Madison Area YMCA Hourly Club staff members were also recognized. Y members Julia Brzozowski, Kris Nolan and Dave Carver, who were featured in articles about their Y experiences, graciously shared their inspirational stories during the reception.

Established in 1994 and named for the year in which the Madison Area YMCA was founded, the 1873 Society recognizes the organization’s most generous benefactors. Individuals, corporations, foundations, and others who contribute $1000 or more to the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund during the calendar year qualify for membership in this special leadership donor group.

Hourly Club members are Madison Area YMCA staff members who generously donate an hour of their salary each pay period.

The Madison Area YMCA is a 501(c)(3) cause-driven charitable organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. All are welcome to be enriched by Y membership, programming, community wellness and health-enhancing programs, regardless of ability to pay. Generous donations to the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund make it possible for everyone in our community to experience the Y.
