Catherine Foucher Joins the Madison Area YMCA Board of Directors

(Madison, NJ) – May 24, 2018– The Madison Area YMCA is pleased to announce that Catherine Foucher, a member of the Madison Area YMCA since 2006, has joined its Board of Directors, effective May 9.

“We are delighted to welcome Catherine to the Board,” said Madison Area YMCA President & CEO Diane Mann. “We look forward to working with Catherine and are confident that she will enhance the quality leadership that is characteristic of all of our Board members.”

Catherine has been an active Madison Area YMCA member since she and her husband, Jeff, moved to Chatham in 2006. Their children Will, 13, Maggie, 10, and John, 7, have all enjoyed youth programming at the Y, having participated in aquatics, enrichment, gymnastics and sports classes. Will is currently a member of the Mariners swim team. 

Previously, Catherine held several positions at American Express including Vice President of Brand Strategy & Marketing, Vice President of Business Development, and Director of Strategic Planning. She started her career as a management consultant specializing in health care.

Catherine has displayed a deep commitment to philanthropy in New York City, having served as a summer associate for the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, a mentor for Student Sponsor Partners and a supporter of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund for almost 20 years. 

She also currently serves as a Board Member for St. Ann, The Personal School in East Harlem, where she recently led an effort to redefine the school’s branding, marketing and mission. This year, St. Ann was honored with two prestigious awards: New York Family Magazine’s Blackboard Award for Outstanding School and Getting Smart’s list of “Top U.S. Schools to Visit.”  

Catherine received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA from the University of Michigan.
