6-Week Women’s Self Defense Class at the Madison Area YMCA  

(Madison, NJ) May 31, 2018—Calling all high school (16+) and college-age women to the Madison Area YMCA for a 6-week Women’s Self Defense class on Wednesdays starting June 27. The cost is $75 for members and $125 for non-members. 

This self-empowerment and self-protection program will prepare young women to be confident. Participants will learn vital options to ensure personal safety including escapes from common grips and holds, effective strikes and conflict resolving strategies.  

The instructor will be Shifu Hayashi Tomio, a Senior Buddhist Monk, 8th degree black belt and author with 48 years of dedicated experience in the martial arts. Hayashi oversees the Madison Area YMCA’s martial arts program that has been in existence for almost 40 years.
