The Madison Area YMCA’s 22nd Annual Charity Golf Classic and Dinner Reception Send More Children than Ever Before to Summer Camp: Proceeds Exceed $100,000

(Madison, NJ) June 14, 2019–The Madison Area YMCA’s 22nd Annual CharityGolf Classic and “Camp for One, Camp for All” dinner reception held at the Morris County Golf Club in Morristown will send more children to summer camp than ever before. Event proceeds exceeded $100,000, and 150 weeks of camp, the largest number in the history of the event, were sponsored during the dinner reception in addition to the weeks of camp awarded through the proceeds of the regular auction and silent auction.

Citi Global Markets was the presenting sponsor. Bank of America Merrill Lynch was a tournament sponsor.
Golf Winners 2019

The winning foursome of the Madison Area YMCA’s 22nd Annual Charity Golf Classic held at the Morris County Golf Club in Morristown: Chester Patterson of Basking Ridge; Dan Moskowitz of Chatham; John Demakos of Madison and Robert Kurz of Basking Ridge.

The extraordinary commitment of sponsors, 100 golfers, an additional 80 dinner guests, more than 30 Y staff volunteers, 12 ADP associates who volunteered, as well as dedicated Golf Event Committee members helped make it possible. Scott Robins and Prat Patel were the co-chairs of the Golf Event Committee, which also included: Denise Bone, Bob Campbell, Michelle Kean, Jean King, Lauren Kozy, Lisa Lyng, Matt McMahon, Michael O’Hara, Bob Rocco, Rich Van Ness and Scott Waterstredt.

The winning foursome, with a score of 59, included Chester Patterson of Basking Ridge; Dan Moskowitz of Chatham; John Demakos of Madison and Robert Kurz of Basking Ridge. The 2ndplace winners, with a score of 60, were: Dr. Isaac Starker ofMadison; Matt McKeon of Mount Arlington; William DeRosa, Jr. of Chatham and Scott Parker of Morristown.

Chris O’Keeffe of New Vernon won Closest to the Pin for men. Scott Robins of Mendham won Longest Drive for men and Jennifer Tippins of Chicago, IL, won Longest Drive for women. James Mongey of Morristown won Closest to the Line for men. Nancy Handal of Morristown won Closest to the Line for women.

Other sponsors included: Double Eagle Sponsor Gary’s Wine and Marketplace including loyal foursomes from Allied Beverage Group, Fedway Associates, Opici Wine Group and Breakthru Beverage. Eagle Sponsors included The MCJ Amelior Foundation, Wm. The Charity Golf Classic is an influential fundraising event for the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund. The Annual Fund enables hundreds of children and families to participate in Y membership, innovative programming, wellness initiatives and services including child care, early childhood education and summer camps at the Madison Area Y’s Family Center and F.M.
